Ward of Cheap Councillor Nick Bensted-Smith co-hosted the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners Economic Crime ‘deep-dive’ at Guildhall on 21st May.
The event was very well attended and stimulated significant discussion, particularly in relation to victim services. As a result the APCC, in consultation with the Victims and Fraud portfolio leads, will meet again to focus on Economic Crime and Fraud later this year.
The City of London Police Economic Crime Directorate is recognised as the national policing lead for fraud and is dedicated to preventing and investigating fraud at all levels.
